Clearwater Fishing ChartersThe most over looked fish in the Clearwater area is trout fishing. The trout fishing from Clearwater to Tarpon Springs is the best in the whole state of Florida. During the fall, winter and spring its an insane fishery. Some days we will catch over 100 trout on a four hour trip. These are not those little 14 or 15 inch fish these are 18 to 30 inch trout. The trout are also some of the best eating fish you can catch. Most of the action is on live bait such as greenbacks, pinfish, and shrimp, but we catch plenty of them on artificial lures also.

There is plenty of Spanish mackerel, kingfish and cobia just a short distance from the beach on the local artificial reefs. On the nice days in the spring and fall we can go catch our limit of Spanish and kingfish then head in to the shallows and catch snook and redfish all on one charter.

Clearwater Fishing ChartersThere is also plenty of tarpon fishing action along the beaches from Clearwater to Tarpon Springs. The tarpon fishing starts in late April and goes thru October. Most people seem to think of tarpon fishing season is May and June, but that is not the case.
I am still catching plenty of tarpon right thru October. July and August is some of the best tarpon fishing of the year and most the action is on artificial lures. There is nothing like catching a tarpon on artificial lures its a blast.
