Greeting from the tarpon capitol of the world

The tarpon action is in full swing, with fishing options for big silver kings ranging from the beaches and backwaters, to the famous Boca Grande Pass.

It’s just a matter of what style of fishing you like most. The tarpon are here in force and cooperating. Weather is the only wild card, but we’ve managed to work with winds and other thing Mother Nature may throw at us to ensure lots of great action for our anglers.

This time of year it can be said the tarpon action is at its peak. It’s a great time for the fish of a lifetime, as well. As usual, the sharks have joined the annual tarpon party, and things can get pretty wild when a big one decides it wants to make a meal out of the silver king on the end of your line. It also happens that an shark is hooked while tarpon fishing, so don’t be surprised if it should happen. It’s really not so bad, and some people like battling their very own “Jaws.”

There is lots of great fishing ahead and we’re busy, but opportunities to claim a spot on the boat for the tarpon trip of your dreams exist, as anglers’ plans sometimes change at the last minute and charter openings can appear out of nowhere. It doesn’t hurt to get a hold of us and get on the list for a day that may open up.

Well, got to get back to fishing for now. So long.
